Collaboration items will go on sale in the summer of 2022
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sanrio has announced a new collaboration project between its popular character brands, such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Pompompurin, and the characters from the Sailor Moon Eternal films.
This is the company's second collaboration with the Sailor Moon franchise, folloiwng the first one featuring My Melody in 2017 and 2018, which was held to celebrate teh Sailor Moon franchise's 25th anniversary. The press release writes, "The illustrations were created by Sanrio's designers with the hope of bringing 'dreams' and 'hope' to all fans of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and Sanrio Characters."
The collaboration visuals of the six Sailor Guardians paired with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Kurumi, Marron Cream, and Pompomprin, all wearing matching costumes, have been revealed. Collaboration items featuring these visuals will go on sale in the summer of 2022.
