TV Anime Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Now in The Works

Details will be revealed at the "Anime Project Presentation" on March 6



Five years have passed since the well-received first season was broadcasted in 2017, and the long-awaited second season of the TV anime adaptation of Shogo Kinugasa's light novel series Classroom of the Elite finally gets the green light!





The novel series has been published from KADOKAWA's light novel imprint MF Bunko J since May 2015. To date, the entire series has printed more than six million copies (including digital editions). The first season of the TV anime adaptation produced by Lerche was aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2017. Its story was based on the novel's first three volumes.


Details of the much-anticipated new season will be revealed at the "Anime Project Presentation" to be streamed on KADOKAWA's official anime YouTube channel from 20:00 (JST) / 03:00 (PT) on March 6, 2022. The anime's two main voice actors, Shoya Chiba (Kiyotaka Ayanokoji) and Yurika Kubo (Kikyou Kushida)m, are scheduled to join, so the two are confirmed to reprise their roles.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it's said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school's problem children. What's more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school...
