Shin Ikki Tousen Anime Exposes May 17 Premiere in Sultry 1st Trailer, New Visual
The main staff and ED theme song was also revealed

The battle of ancient souls continues in the wars between busty young females in Shin Ikki Tousen, which revealed that its TV anime adaptation of Yuji Shiozaki's manga will be starting on May 17. The premiere date was confirmed alongside the first trailer for the continuation, a brand new visual, the announcement of the main staff members, and that Konomi Suzuki will be singing the ending theme song "PROUD STARS."
Directing Shin Ikki Tousen anime is Rion Kujo (Samurai Harem) with Taiji Kawanishi (Queen's Blade) as the assistant director, Masaya Honda retuning to write the scripts and series compositions from Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves, Rin-Sin returning from the Ikki Tousen series and Tsutomu Miyazawa (Samurai Girls) designing the characters. Miyazawa is also the chief animation director on the anime alongside Seo Gu Lee as the art director, Shigeteru Asakawa as the director of photography, and Yasuharu Takanashi composing the music, all returning from previous Ikki Tousen anime. The animation is being produced at Arms.
Shin Ikki Tousen continues the continues on from the previous work with Hakufu Sonsaku's younger sister as the battles come up from Kansai to Kanto. The first episode premieres on AT-X on May 17, with the second episode set for May 24, and the third episode on May 31, all televised on the Japanese cable channel.
