The eight-episode series will premiere in November 2022
At the stage event of AnimeJapan 2022 today, a key visual for Fleet Girls Collection "Kancolle" 1944 -ITSUKA ANO UMI DE- (Someday in that sea), the forthcoming new TV anime adaptation of Kadokawa Games' web browser game Kantai Collection/KanColle, was revealed for the first time. The production of the new anime was announced back in January 2019.

It was also confirmed that the eight-episode series is set to premiere in November 2022. Kazuya Miura (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) serves as director, alongside series composition writer Kensuke Tanaka (C2 Kikan Representative), and character designer Chika Noumi (Kemono Michi: Rise Up). ENGI (The Detective is Already Dead) works on anime production.
