Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- will again be animated at Sunrise
After being “announced” on April Fools, the Love Live! franchise confirmed today that a Yohane-based fantasy spin-off TV anime will be released in 2023. The new series, Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR-, got a teaser trailer featuring the chunibyo Aqours member, a key visual featuring all the Aqours’ members in their fantasy outfit, the main staff and cast list.

The original Aqours members return for Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- with Asami Nakatani (Ensemble Stars!) at the helm as director, Toshiya Ono (86 EIGHTY-SIX) writing the scripts as series composer, Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld) as the character designer and Tatsuya Kato returning to Love Live! Sunshine!! as the music composer. Sunrise is credited for anime production.
Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- was originally an illustration series in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sogo magazine which also inspired a short manga in the same magazine in February this year. Genjutsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- is scheduled to broadcast in 2023.
