Adaptation based on fantasy light novel series is currently broadcasting in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll
A credit-free version of the opening animation sequence has been published for Parallel World Pharmacy (known in Japan as Isekai Yakkyoku), a currently broadcasting TV anime based on the series of light novels written by Liz Takayama and illustrated by keepout about a young medical researcher who reincarnates in another world and uses his magically-enhanced abilities to practice medicine there.
The video (below) features the official opening theme song for the series, entitled "Musou-teki Chronicle" ("A Dreamlike Chronicle"), which is performed by Kaori Ishihara.
The original Parallel World Pharmacy novels are published in Japan by Media Factory (a division of KADOKAWA) under their MF Books imprint. The story of the series follows Kanji Yakutani, a medical researcher who dies from overwork and reincarnates in another world as Pharma de Médicis, the son of a famous court physician.
Pharma despairs at the state of medical care in the new world, where the use of various spells and charms that can't be called true medical treatment is widespread and only the nobility can afford magical medical care. With the help of his knowledge of modern medicine and his "cheat" ability to create and destroy matter, Pharma decides to open a pharmacy and bring proper medicine to everyone who needs it.
The Parallel World Pharmacy TV anime is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and features animation production by Diomedéa. The series is currently broadcasting in Japan on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS NTV, and it is also available via streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the summer 2022 anime simulcast lineup.
