July 22, on the release day of the first show's Blu-ray in Japan, the official website for Fruits Basket The Stage, the stage play adaptation of Natsuki Takaya's Fruits Basket manga, announced that its second show entitled "2nd Season" is set to be performed in 2023. In commemoration of the announcement, a special visual using photos from the first show is also released.

The first show which featured Nogizaka46 member Ayano-Christie Yoshida as the protagonist Tohru Honda was performed at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall, Tokyo, from March 4 to 13, 2022. And the two performances on its final day were live-streamed worldwide. More details about the second show including its story and cast will be announced in the future.
