GIRLS und PANZER Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary with Screening Events & Exhibition

Mai Fuchigami: "I hope to follow Miho's back as I look forward to the story that will continue in the future."

A special website has been opened for the tenth anniversary of the popular anime franchise GIRLS und PANZER, which started broadcasting in October 2012. Various projects were announced to commemorate the anniversary year.

First, a commemorative screening will be held in 127 theaters across Japan on October 9. This commemorative screening will feature the 2018 compilation film GIRLS und PANZER: 63rd National High School Senshado Tournament Compilation and the 2015 film Girls und Panzer der Film. In addition to the regular version, the two film's 4DX version will also be screened. Theatergoers will receive the 10th anniversary miniature color paper by director Tsutomu Mizushima and character designer/chief animation director Isao Sugimoto.

The large-scale exhibition "10th Anniversary GIRLS und PANZER Exposition: Koremade to Korekara (What has been and what will be)" will be held at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, from December 16 to 25. The exhibition will recreate the display space inspired by Oarai Girls High School, where the main character, Miho Nishizumi, goes. In addition to tracing the history of the girls and their memories with their friends, production materials will also be on display. Advance tickets will go on sale on October 8.

In addition, goods using newly drawn illustrations will be on sale.

Message from Mai Fuchigami (Miho Nishizumi):

Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of GIRLS und PANZER! And thank you for your long and enthusiastic support! The days when I felt anxious about playing the main character, my first Oarai Ankou Festival, the dazzling light I saw at the stage greeting... I have too many memories. My life as a voice actor has been about 14 years. I can't thank everyone enough for connecting my destiny to this point. And I hope to follow Miho's back as I look forward to the story that will continue in the future.

Message from Ai Kayano (Saori Takebe):

It has already been 10 years since I kept raising my fist in the air, "Panzer vor!" I would like to thank all the Garupan fans who have walked with us...! I've known the staff and the people in Oarai for so long that I feel like they are my relatives... (laughs) Garupan is still on the way. I'll be ready to "Panzer vor" for whenever Director Mizushima gives the order! ( *`ω´)ゞ I will continue to work hard together with Saori until the last chapter, so I would be very happy if I could have your continued support!

Message from Mami Ozaki (Isuzu Hana):

The 10th anniversary. It may seem like it has passed in a flash, but it has also been a very intense time filled with many memories and encounters. I hope to continue to share this precious and enjoyable time with everyone I have met through Garupan and its fans. Please continue to support GIRLS und PANZER!

Message from Ikumi Nakagami (Yukari Akiyama):

Girls und Panzer 10th anniversary...Hooray!! Awesome! I headed to the recording studio, nervous but excited to play my first main cast of an anime that I had longed to be a part of. The tank bible that Director Mizushima handed me is still on the top of my bookshelf where I keep it. Starting with the comprehensive fire drill, boarding Type 90 and Type 10 tanks, the Anko Festival, and the warmth of the town of Oarai. The tour in the Sunflower, the WoT event in Taiwan, etc.... In the past ten years, thanks to Garupan, my life has changed 180 degrees from what it was before! PANZER is life, and life is PANZER. Thank you once again to everyone involved with Garupan!

Message from Yuka Iguchi (Mako Reizei):

Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of GIRLS und PANZER! I am truly honored to be involved in a work that has been supported by everyone for such a long time. I am really, really honored. Thank you very much. I am very impressed not only with the voice recording of the anime, but also with the events of Garupan. I can't miss the "Ankou Festival" in Oarai, Ibaraki, where was used as the setting of the work! I hope we can all put on our Panzer jackets again and participate in the Anko Festival!
