Dive Into the Mind of Nichijou Manga Creator Keiichi Arawi at Upcoming Exhibition
The exhibition is to celebrate the return of the Nichijou manga after six years
No one does absurdist comedy like manga creator Keiichi Arawi. To celebrate the release of the first Nichijou - My Ordinary Life manga volume in seven years and the release of the first volume of Arawi's latest series Amemiya-san, an exhibition exploring the mind of Arawi will be held in the new year at Shibuya Parco under the name "Keiichi Arawi's Daydream, Delusion, Imagination and Creation Exhibition." A visual for the exhibition was released.
The exhibition will be diving into the three mediums that Arawi works in: manga, illustration and anime, with original drafts and special exhibition items on display alongside a self-portrait of Arawi in a costume. A workshop where one of his pieces will be reproduced will also be held. Exclusive goods will also be on sale at the exhibition which includes merch from the Sanrio collaboration.
Alongside the exhibition, a Nichijou Restaurant collaboration cafe will be held at Tokyo Parade on the sixth floor of the Shibuya Parco from the day of the exhibition's opening to February 26. A stamp rally is also planned to be held in the department store. Those who visit both the cafe and exhibition will get a special badge.
