The theme for the 40th anniversary project is "Ai wo Torimodose!" ("Take Back the Love!"), a reference to the first opening theme for the Fist of the North Star TV anime, which is performed by Crystal King.

Crunchyroll currently streams the Fist of the North Star TV anime, and describes the story as follows:

"You don't even know you're already dead!!" The war has turned the world into a nuclear wasteland. However, humanity had survived, only to relapse into society where violence dominates.
