First big update of 2023 arrives on January 18

Genshin Impact Version 3.4

 

The first big update of the year is almost here for Genshin Impact, which introduces Version 3.4 on January 18. This time around the additions include the Lantern Rite celebration, a new desert area in Sumeru, the ability to play as Alhaitham and Yaoyao and more, and a new trailer arrived to show off what's in store.

Some of the new versions highlights:

 

  • Seasonal events and games including a music festival and a traditional Liyue performance to celebrate Teyvat's New Year.
  • New area "Desert of Hadramaveth" amid sandstorms bringing more adventures and new World Quests.
  • New five-star Dendro swordsman Alhaitham and four-star Dendro polearm user Yaoyao.
  • New limited-time mode for the card game
  • Free-to-claim rewards including a total of 13 Intertwined Fates, Lisa's new outfit, and a 4-star Liyue character upon completion of certain events.
  • Kamisato Ayaka's new outfit available in store with a limited-time discount.

 

Genshin Impact players will be able to dive in with cross-save and cross-play functions across PlayStation, PC, Android and iOS platforms.
