Details on the project and 3rd season will be revealed at the Grand Finale Screening on February 19
Since November 25, the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond anime film has been showing in theaters across Japan, making a splash at the box office. While the run will be coming to an end soon, the franchise has one more surprise up its slime body – details on a “new project” in the series.

As of February 3, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond has made more than 1.37 billion yen (US$10.46 million) on the back of 1.05 million tickets sold. The Grand Finale Screening for the anime film will be held on February 19 at Shinjuku Piccadilly with the lead voice actors in attendance.
Details on the third TV anime season of the series will be announced at the event alongside a “new project.”

Studio 8bit, who produced the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime TV anime adaptation of the bestselling light novel series, returned to animate the latest adventure of Rimuru and his capable cohort of magical beasts. Crunchyroll, who released the film in theaters worldwide in January, describes it as such:
A long-running conspiracy is swirling over a mysterious power known as “Queen” in Raja, a small country west of Tempest. When a slime who evolved into a Demon Lord named Rimuru Tempest crosses paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race, an incredible adventure packed with new characters begins.
