Kodansha Comics Debuts iPhone App
Adds three new series to list: Cage of Eden, Mardock Scramble and Ninja Girls
NEW YORK, July 30, 2012 – Kodansha USA Publishing is proud to announce the debut of the Kodansha Comics iPhone app, which made its appearance yesterday in the iTunes store. The app was created by Random House, Inc.’s digital content team on behalf of Kodansha, a Random House Publisher Services division client. It is free to download, with most volumes priced for sale at $4.99. Books purchased on the iPad app will also be viewable on the iPhone app. Joining the lineup of manga available are three series: Cage of Eden by Yoshinobu Yamada; Mardock Scramble by Tow Ubukata and Yoshitoki Oima; and Ninja Girls by Hosana Tanaka.
To celebrate the new app, Kodansha Comics is offering the first volumes for all series in both the iPhone and iPad app at the discounted price of $2.99 each for two weeks.
Random House, Inc. has been increasing its own focus on the digital world with its in-house corporate digital content and services group. With numerous apps and specialized eBooks under their belt, the Random House and Atomic Software team was the ideal choice to develop this exciting new app for Kodansha.
Fans can look forward to new series being added to the app in the coming months.
