    One of the Best Adaptations!!!
This (Drama) Film based on the anime, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, surpassed my expectations of what a drama could be. This film greatly told the story of the Super Peace Buster's emotional journey to grant Menma's final wish. Many film adaptations of animes fail in their task to capture the essence of their source, but I'm here to say, that this film is what most people hope for in an ...

If you could change a day that happend 7 years ago, would you?
Let me just say this first: I had never thought that it would make me as emotional as I am now. Though I haven`t watched the anime (witch I will now) this made me cry and love the movie!

Anohana is about a group of childhood friends who has a special hidding spot in the woods. But after a tragdic accident that leads to one of them to die, they seperate from each other and lives on. The movie ...

The best anime/manga to live action adaptation
The movie followed the storyline perfectly without missing any important details. The actors are greatly chosen and they are very suitable for the characters.

What I am most impressed of is Menma's hair color, the director decides to keep Menma's hair color as black instead of gray/white like in the anime. This makes everyone's hair color normal and more real-life-like.

On top of all, they ...

    Retains all the feels
I didn't think this could live up to the anime... I figured it would be a disappointment like the death note drama. I was mistaken. Even though it isn't as long as the anime and they had to cut out certain parts, it packed the same emotional punch in the guts, can barely see because of the tears, soul ripping feels. If you liked the anime, this is a must watch.

Don't be fooled into thinking you will be safe emotionally
Honestly this is two hours that tore me up emotionally. I thought the anime was good at that, but this surpassed the anime by far. The actors and actresses were a perfect fit for their parts, and the emotions they portrayed were so real they will pierce you through.

It is a movie and not a series so you will get the entire story-line in one shot (if you can handle watching it in one shot). ...

    Tissues Aren't Enough!
If you feel the need to hop aboard the feels train, jump right in. Though, I must warn you, tissues won't be enough for this ride. Even after watching the anime series and movie, I suggest keeping a towel or three handy.

The cast did an amazing job bringing the anime to life. They were flawless in playing and looking the part (and I'll admit, I thought Tsuruko's actress was cute). And, you ...

  • A beautiful watch, AFTER the anime!
Anohana (both the anime and live-action film) are binge-worthy! I would watch them over and over again to share with friends, and possibly end up crying each time. An excellent find! (Be sure to watch the live-action following the anime, as the anime develops the story, and the live-action seems to be missing a few pieces~)

Jinta believes he is delusional when his childhood friend, Menma, ...

  • Loved it! It really moved me!
I have to say that the plot was really fast compared to the anime but it still made me cry in the end. I still give it a 5-star because the story is good! If yo haven't seen the anime then you should do that before watching this! It has more detailed scenes, obviously, than the drama but it's pretty explanatory. Watch it after you've watched the anime!!
