Adaptation of spin-off manga planned for spring
This spring sees an anime adaptation of Puyo’s Haruhi spin-off manga series, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, which starts off with a less aliens, ESPers and time travelers approach to the material, as an average girl Yuki tries to save her beleaguered literature club by recruiting Kyon. Along with the launch of the series' official website and Twitter acocunt, the anime's character designs have been previewed.
Takeshi Yasuda is on planning with storyboard artist and episode director Junichi Wada stepping up to helm the Satelight production. Touko Machida (Lucky Star, Wake Up Girls!, Chaika) is writing series composition with Ikuko Itoh (Princess Tutu) on character designs.
Tatsuya Kato, (Free!) composer for Lantis, will compose the music for Yuki-chan.
Production credit goes to North High Literature Club.
