Web-based game by Paiza teaches beginners the basics of computer programming
Code Girl Collection - a new browser game by Paiza - combines moe, computer programming practice, and social gaming to teach novice programmers how to code. The game currently offers short lessons that teach players the basics of Ruby and PHP, with plans to expand to include coverage for Python in June of 2016.
The premise of Code Girl Collection puts the player in the role of an amnesiac character adrift in a virtual world. With the help of Lilia, the player tries to return to reality. By completing programming lessons which gradually increase in difficulty, players can unlock in-game bonuses (such as Gashapon-style collectible "Code Girl" cards) and progress the story.
Code Girl Collection uses a free-to-play distribution model. The official website for the game can be found here.
