IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT! TV anime Postponed After 4th Episode Due to State of Emergency in Japan

IDOLiSH7 season 2 was streaming on Crunchyroll this spring

Due to the coronavirus outbreak in Japan and the State of Emergency that was enacted by the Japanese government and 7 prefectures, including Tokyo and the surrounding metropolis, the second season of hit idol TV anime series IDOLiSH7 will have its second season, which is titled IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT!, postponed after the broadcast of the 4th episode on April 26.

The IDOLiSH7 production committee, in a post of the anime's official website, said that "the announcement [of a State of Emergency] has had a significant impact on the originally planned production schedule, so we have decided to postpone the broadcast." It hasn't been announced when the rest of the season will air, but the official website and Twitter account will let fans know as soon as it's been decided. On Japanese TV, the first episode of the first season will be shown in place of the 5th episode on April 26 on Japanese TV, with the rest of the first season to follow.

IDOLiSH7 season one was first broadcast from January 7, 2018, with Crunchyroll streaming the episodes shortly after its Japanese broadcast. The second season started airing on April 5 and has also been streaming on Crunchyroll as it aired.
