    Don't waste your time.
Truly, a garbage tier plot. The animation seems okay. The girls seem to have interesting personalities and the music is fun. But wow. Such trash plot.

Also I hated the "girls can't fish" thing. Who acts like that these days? It feels so forced.

Is this an advertisement for some mobile game?

The show is poorly written but well animated.
The premise of the show is stupid. Not stupidly awesome, just stupid.

Sexism in commercial fishing makes no sense because women are wanted for the profession but there is a shortage of women willing to spend weeks in a confined area breaking down fish.

    Stupid, Random, Dull
This show in the first episode alone goes to lengths I never thought possible to insult the viewer's intelligence. I must have WTF'd at least 10 times throughout the whole thing. First it's "all the fish are gone, we have to go to space", then it's "women can fish now" and then somewhere along the line, the supernatural enters the picture and then "oh, its all just an app"...WHAT IS THIS SHOW? ...

Oddly compelling anime based on a strange premise
This anime is a rollercoaster ride that requires a hearty suspension of disbelief.

If you want science to be accurate, this show isn't for you. If you are for some reason offended by the idea that we would build giant aquatic globes in space to raise fish, this show isn't for you.

If you think the sexism is inaccurate and offensive, I'd just like to point out that this year Tokyo Medical ...

Even as a nonsense-show "Between the Sky and Sea" fails,...
Gave this show a chance, because I thought the idea of fishing in space sounded interesting - although the premise (fish just dissappear and then people go to space to fish, however the fish get to space) seemed to be nonsene. However, it got even worse, as there are so many things that have no sense at all. Why are there deities? And why do you need to download an app on your phone to use their ...

it gets much better halfway through
space fishing, cuteness, variety of personalities with different accents (which was pretty weird).
this one is kinda more for the people who didn't and/or couldn't watch goblin slayer. doesn't mean its bad, after the 5th episode it kicked up and i enjoyed it more, the ending wasn't very satisfying though, which is why i didn't give it 4 stars, or 5 because of a few other annoying things.

  • Cute But Story Lacks
This is a cute anime but the story was underdeveloped and focused too much on their training. Cool idea though with fishing tanks planets in space.

Things I don't get about the series:
    1. I don't understand why they didn't just train in the actual ocean but thought the public pool was a good choice?
    2. The whole thing with the missing brother that does not get resolved is annoying
    3. For 12 ...

  • "Strange" Does Not Do This Justice
This is by far one of the strangest plots I've ever heard of, and that's saying something for the things I've read/watched...

    1. You'd have more than just "no more fish" as a problem, most life in the ocean and some on land aside from humans rely on fish, the food chain would be permanently changed/damaged resulting in a large portion of ocean life dying.

    2. The amount of fish and other ...

  • No, I'm not an anime snob
There are so many WTF moments in this show that it's difficult for me to put them all down. The premise is so ridiculous that there wasn't even the slightest attempt made to square it with any sort of logic. Watch the first thirty seconds and you'll know what I mean. By the end of the first episode, you'll have seen the worst of it. And how much of a fail is it for a show when I intensely ...

A Mirror image of Kemono Friends...
This show is based and sponsored on a Social Net Game. That is similar to Kemono Friends, and the similarity ends there. Seems like the sponsor gave way too much interference to Anime, and the production stuff worked way too hard to fulfill the request.
I can accept outrageous settings in fictions - "One day all the fish disappeared from the Earth, so they launched space fish cages for fish ...
