  • Very emotional and sad
Take Madoka, remove cute girls, replace emotionless Kyuubey with a demented dung beetle, then remove any joy and happiness, you then get Bokurano.

I have watched this series twice since it was released in 2007 and it has had a lasting impact on me. You get to know all 15 kids and their backstory all that are different ranging between a gamer and a girl from a rich family between piloting the ...

  • I'm not someone who writes reviews
I don't write reviews so don't expect anything crazy this is going to be from the perspective of someone who mostly watches dark anime and shonen's. I Really enjoyed this for what it was, yeah it had plot-holes but it was still very much enjoyable. I've read that the manga is better but this is still enjoyable. I don't care much for MECHAS or CGI but they weren't too obnoxious and i didn't mind it ...

Possibly the most depressing anime out there
There are mecha in Bokurano, but Bokurano is not a mecha anime. If you're looking for an action show, skip this.

It's rare for fictional things affect me much emotionally, but this anime made me sick to my stomach. If I could unwatch Bokurano, I would. I'm not a fan of tragedies in general, but this takes it to a whole new level. Expect nothing but despair from start to finish. The message is ...

  • Sup everybody, itcha boi. Giant Mecha.
I originally watched subs of this back around 2009 or so. They were a little different from these subs, for instance Koyemshi was translated to Dungbeetle instead of keeping his name untranslated. But I would say these subs give an over-all better idea of what is happening around them. Also I didn't know it at the time but certain parts of the show were cut out on the version I saw in 2009. This ...

  • An overlooked gem of a show
Bokurano is a show that at the time of its initial release was kinda overshadowed by its contemporaries such as Gurren Lagann, Darker Than Black, and Lucky Star, all of which started airing at the same time. And while I won't claim that Bokurano is better than those shows, I will claim that it could probably go toe to toe with them in a fair comparison.

Bokurano is ultimately one of those ...

    Evangelion with 15 Shinjis
This anime has many features in common with Evangelion. It isn't super action packed, so don't expect Gundam type combat. The combat is more reserved, and quite similar to the original Evangelion series. The 15 main characters are also very much like Shinji, in that none of them want to be there, they are whiny, and emotionally unstable. Overall the anime is quite enjoyable, especially if you like ...

  • One of the better anime I've watched in this genre
It's been a while since I watched this show, so I don't have much to say review wise other than that it was really intense and I remember enjoying it a lot! I tend to avoid mecha, so I haven't watched a TON of it, but this is by far my favourite out of the ones that I have seen!

  • Prepare for a Voyage into Darkness
This is an amazing anime series. It's a great deconstruction on the giant mecha style of anime. I actually like it better than the original manga. I want to give it five stars... but I can't. In fact, I can easily see why people would want to give it low ratings.

The show is intensely depressing (although not quite as depressing as the manga). The art is mediocre at best. This is bound to give ...

  • Amazing very underrated mecha\drama anime.
Bokurano Ours is a amazing anime and manga about a group of Kids who are tricked into a deadly contract. This anime is a deconstruction of the mecha genre so If you enjoy anime like Madoka magica and Evangelion then i cannot recommend Bokurano ours enough.

Not sure how to feel for this show
    Its alright, could be better

    - its boring
    - the logic & writing sucks
    - fucking rape & pedophilia plays a part
    - the adults get none cause their to busy being creeps
    - 4 out of 15 kids are messed up
1 girl sells her body to her teacher, the next girl soon follows
    - the girl is too young to have a baby. Somehow that makes 1 more pilot when this nonexistant baby did NOT sign up. They say ...
