  • Slow, but Fun Adaptation
I finally watched the whole thing years later! It's so good. I'm taking off one star because I did find that the action moved really slow at times... There were a lot of views of the scenery and long shots of people smiling at each... cute, but not very interesting. Still, I really enjoyed this series. I think the manga may be a bit better in terms of pacing, but there are certain scenes and ...

  • Not a real Review just what I personally feel as a fan.
I do not review anime on this site.

That being said I wanted to just let the community know how my feelings on this anime.
I first saw this anime as a child and liked it a lot. Now that I have gone back and re-watched it I can say I still like the anime a lot. The uncut version makes more sense and the original voice cast(Japanese) did a great job. I still like the old dub way better from a ...

  • One of the Best Experiences I've had in awhile
So I missed out on this show when I was younger because I simply dismissed it as a girly show. However upon a week long binge of the show I found myself really loving the story as well as the characters in it. Sakura herself is instantly likable but never comes off as too annoying or helpless but always feels her age. The story has a great progression and the production values are really amazing ...

  • Add this to your collection. NOW.
CLAMP Studios happen to have some of the best artwork and most vivid storytelling on the planet when it comes to manga. So naturally when you want to adapt it to an anime, you provide some raw talent to go with it. Look no further than the subtitled version to give yourself a reason to watch this.

Such emotion! Such cheeky back and forth! It's these little interactions between the characters ...

  • Very glad I watched this!
I looooved this!! I'm so glad that I was finally able to sit down and watch the entire series. I remember it vaguely being on tv when I was little, but heard that it was all messed up and changed. So I wanted to watch the real show. It took some getting used to, as I'm really not used to watching an anime this old. The long pauses on completely unmoving faces was pretty hilarious.

    I watched ...

  • Still as good as it was when I was young
It really lives up to the memories. When I was in fifth grade I loved Cardcaptors, but this is definitely the better version. Cardcaptors left things out (like Tomoyo's crush on Sakura) that give the show more life.
If you are looking for something kind of fluffy, but with plenty of substance this is the show for you.

  • At last in it's entirety!
I only collected the first few of the CCS series on DVD when it was first released many years ago, and I've been meaning to get the rest even though it was out of print. But I didn't have to since it has been released here, and to my surprise in Japanese with subs. The translation is even better than the DVDs, and are easy to read as well. As for the anime itself, I was very pleased with the ...

  • Show is wonderful but dubbed...
Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my favorite anime ever, but the dubbed version is awful, and it's the only one available on mobile devices and Roku. When this changes, I will raise my rating, but until then, three stars it is. On the bright side, you can watch the show on a computer and enjoy the wonderful Japanese version

  • Great anime series! But horrible dub.
I first saw this series when I was a teen....I had to get up around 6am to watch it but boy was this anime worth it. It's a great magical girl anime about a young girl who accidentally sets a bunch of clow cards loose on Japan so she and our mascot sets out to find and recapture all the clow cards. Let me warn you THE DUB TO THIS IS BAD!!! SERIOUSLY BAD....EARLY 90's BAD!!! Watch it subbed. Please ...

  • This anime changed my life.
    This anime changed my life.
    No really, it did.

I ended up watching it when I was about 11 years old and fell in love with it immediately. I won't get into too much detail but it really did set me on a course to discover anime, meet new people and present so many new forms of entertainment and creative outlets.

With that said, it's a really cute show and it's worth a watch if you're into ...
