Its a great anti hero story that will have you losing sleep over because you need watch just one more episode. You can go from hating one character on episode to have them being your favorite the next.

One of the greatest, just start watching itAs the title states, this is one of the all time greats. Phenomenal story, character development is off the charts, and "fights" aren't just solved by some crazy power. The thought put into every aspect of this show is next level.

It has strategy.
It has amazing characters.
The soundtrack is GODLY! (like, REALLY REALLY GODLY)
It has the best and most realistic Chess scenes in anime history (no it has not, they are terrible.)
It has a bit of philosophy in it.
And it has by far the best ending.

A man with a noble goal, armed with his own definition of justice battles the world and his beliefs.Code Geass is what I'd call a ''jack-of-all-trades'' anime, since it has somethin' of everything. The above anime's plots don't come close to this anime. The drama, animation, (some comedy), and absolutely beautiful animation. I watched this entire series in two days (Off from work lol) but man each and every episode had me begging for more.. This is a true piece of art. Not A Critical ReviewThe short and to the point version: A mecha series taking place in a near future colonial setup with appeal for mech fans and even non-mech fans.

The only anime I call a MasterpieceI have no words to describe how awesome this piece work is.
The protagonist is extremely charismatic, and the story is really well thought-out.
One of the thing I appreciate most there's no clear "evil threat" and most of the conflict is result of actors pushing towards their ideal.
