  • Enjoyed it, wish I knew I started with S2
Too little too late, I realize that only S2 is available here. And I already watched the entire thing, without watching ANY of the first season. So bear with me, as I didn't come in here with a great foundation.

At first I had absolutely 0 clue what was happening, and felt like I was launched into a show where there was a ton of missing information. (There is an entire season missing from my ...

  • Very funny slice of life comedy
I love watching slice of life anime. This one is at the top of the list of the genre. I'm not sure if I watched season two, but honestly, even if I did this anime is totally worth the rewatch. I also liked seeing all of the snacks they had (even though I'd get hungry af). Also, Hotaru is the bestt I stan. <3

  • Light and joyful comedy
Daga Shikashi is a "slice of life" anime, more comedy flavor than love romance (there is bit of it, though). I was grew up in Japan back in 1970s so I know some of Dagashi snacks featured in this show. Because of this background, Hotrau's introduciton of Dagashi snack is interesting to me. But even without it, this is light and joyful comedy anime.

  • As a whole a good show
The first season of this anime was great with memorable episodes, such as racing with candy, and games with friends, I was actuality excited for the next season and queued it as soon as it appeared. However I was disappointed, it was like the creators thought to themselves hey you know what all those people loved in the first season. Why don't we shorten the episodes and water them way the heck ...

I've never been so entertained watching commercials.
    Now I'm hungry.

Seriously though. We've got a lovely bunch of weirdos for our cast, a cavalcade of junk food+trivia, and just the right touch of awkward human interaction.

My only complaint would be that the episodes are too short leaving you with the feeling that it all ended just a little bit too soon.

This show is not for everyone
Lemme say that I thought this show sounded interesting and then I actually watched it. It was a short series and it was hard to get through it. There's something about Hotaru that is hard to watch her onscreen. It might be the color combo of her hair and the eyes but anyhow, the story just seemed there. Nothing exciting and definitely not worth a recommendation for me to tell others.

    Kokonotsu ...

  • Anime Candy Dramatic infomercials!
This show is kinda dumb, but it's dumb in a fun and enjoyable manner. The shortened episode format keeps things easily digestible, while also allowing for plot developments to occur without overstaying it's welcome. The fun jabs this show takes at other anime is entertaining, mostly due to the use of candy being used to illustrate the jabs. Plus if you happen to be generally curious to what ...

    The Good Old Days store
There was a store like this in the old neighborhood of my youth. Fond memories...(ask your parents or grandparents). Well designed characters, some witty dialogue, and detailed environment makes for enjoyable viewing. Sometimes the characters do seem to be horribly cross-eyed or bit too nutso-eyed. One down side for me is with very attractive female anime characters there is insufficient fan ...

  • Candy shop bliss for every sweets lover
A playful convenience store SoL with a surprisingly oddball cast. The atmosphere is very cozy, so don't expect a heart pounding drama or laugh out loud comedy. If I had to say something bad about this show it would be character depth. Though personalities are very fun to watch, none really come off as real humans, lacking that special touch that turns favorites into iconic characters. Lines are ...
