Daily shorts, compiled into weekly half-hour shows coming this July
Today's Shonen Jump issue 23 has officially announced the plans to adapt Shūichi Asō's 2012 high school ESPer gag comedy Saiki Kusuo no Ψ Nan into a TV anime. Oha-Suta early morning and TV Tokyo late night broadcasts starting this July will break the show into daily shorts, compiled into weekly half-hour programs. With this a series site, Twitter and visual have been published.
Hiroaki Sakurai (Digi Charat) directs the GG FIRM × JCSTAFF production wth Michiko Yokote (Gintama, Shirobako, Genshiken, Squid Girl) writing series composition and Masayuki Onji (Cromartie High) on character design.
Hiroshi Kamiya voices Kusuo Saiki (Shintarō Asanuma in a voice comic and flash animation), a teen who accidentally became the subject of media attention for being undefeated in rock-paper-scissors in kindergarten and who has since kept his powers under wraps.
Daisuke Ono voices the dangerous, unreadable Riki Nendō (formerly Kenta Miyake) while Nobunaga Shimazaki is chūnibyō would-be conqueror Shun Kaidō (formerly Takuya Eguchi).
Mitsuo Iwata and Rikako Aikawa are Kasuo Saiki's parents.
