Culture Shock Overwhelms in "You Don't Know Gunma Yet" TV Anime

Adaptation based on humorous web manga by Hiroto Ida heads to Gunma Television and other stations in April of 2018

 

Watch out, city folks! You may think you know what it's like to move away from Chiba Prefecture, but the You Don't Know Gunma Yet TV anime (known in Japan as Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai) is coming soon to teach you the error of your ways. In addition to the key visual above, the main staff for the series has also been revealed, including:

 

  • Original work: Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai by Hiroto Ida, serialized in Shinchosa's Kurage Bunch digital manga magazine
  • Director, series composition: Mankyu
  • Character design: Tomonori Kogawa
  • Ending theme: "So Happy" by Aya Uchida
  • Animation production: Asahi Production
  • Animation production cooperation: CJT

 

 

The story of You Don't Know Gunma Yet follows Nori Kamitsuki, a high school student who moves from Chiba Prefecture to Gunma Prefecture, only to experience extreme culture shock upon arrival. Will Nori be able to adapt to his new home?

 

 

You Don't Know Gunma Yet will begin broadcasting on Gunma Television, Animax, GYAO!, and other stations beginning in April of 2018. You Don't Know Gunma Yet was also adapted into a live-action film and TV series in 2017.
