Kids Rock the Koto in New Key Visual for Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV Anime

Ongoing adaptation based on music manga by Amyu continues with second cour in October of 2019

Satowa Hozuki delivers a passionate koto performance in a screen capture from Episode 13 of the Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV anime.

The Tokihise High School koto club is at it again in a new key visual (below) for Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life, an ongoing TV anime based on the music manga by Amyu about a group of youths who dedicate their lives to playing a traditional 13-stringed instrument.

The original Kono Oto Tomare! manga is serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square manga magazine. The Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV anime is currently available via streaming in the U.S. from Funimation, who describe the story of the series as follows:

Down to its last member, the koto club will accept anyone who is interested in the traditional Japanese instrument. But when a delinquent and a prodigy player sign up, finding harmony isn’t going to be easy—especially not with ensemble competitions looming around the corner. With enough time and some incredible skill at the strings, perhaps this motley crew can strike a chord with the judges.

Members of the Tokihise High School koto club enthusiastically play their instruments in a new key visual for the Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV anime.

The Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV anime is directed by Ryoma Mizuno and features animation production by Platinum Vision. The series will continue with its second cour in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other stations beginning on October 05, 2019.
