  • Indeed a Fresh New Take on Death Note.
When I saw the second and third episodes of this drama, I was surprised by how much it had been altered from its source material, yet how good it was despite all the changes. Our main characters have new personalities, relationships are been deepened and new ones are formed, and even a few major characters' destinies were changed in this drama. If you enjoyed Death Note, there's a 90% chance you ...

  • Death note the drama
I watched this drama of death note long before I ever got around the death note the anime. I feel like this drama version of it was just as good as the anime was. I like the clothes and makeup and hair that the actors were. I felt like the actors and actresses did a great job acting in this. The script was good. L was my fav character in this drama even know everyone else was great too. This drama ...

  • Life-action adaptation done right
This is by far my most favourite life-action adaptation of death note. They changed plenty of things, both small and bigger ones. It took a bit of getting used to, but now I cannot imagine it any other way. Despite all those changes they still managed to keep the core of what death note is about.
It was captivating as well as extremely enjoyable

    Wouldn’t recommend
Light is not as smart as his manga counterpart nor is he as charismatic and interesting. I feel if this Light was going against L’s manga counterpart he would have been locked up within days, and the same goes for this version of L going against Kira’s manga counterpart, who would have gotten outsmarted by Kira and die early on. I just can’t see this version of L as the greatest detective. Both ...

    Dont bother.........
this show is not as near good as the anime (duh) and is ALMOST as bad as the netflix adaption. i didn't care for it, but atleast this show cares (only a little bit) about the actual death note story. dont watch it unless you really like dramas..... its not good

  • Wonderful Drama!!!!!
The drama seems to follow both the manga and anime pretty well, it's a wonderful series to watch, the acting is wonderful and the cast is pretty cool. I like how L's actor managed to recreate him in another image in a sense and Light's actor does a good job as well.

  • An awesome revamp of my favorite series
There are things different from the other adaptations, but where would there be any fun in watching if it turned out to be the exact same. I really like how they made Light an average kid this time around, it shows a totally different dynamic between him and the other characters. I'm not particularly fond of Ryuk, but I don't mind him as long as I remember he is there to be comic relief in this ...

  • Changed my views!!!!
To be honest, I definitely like this drama version a lot better than the other ones I've watched before. This sort of retells the story plot in a different way but still helps to remind myself of the original manga version. The changes in Light throughout the drama is not just plainly psychotic and L's reactions are just relatable. This version of Death Note is enjoyable, just keep an open mind ...

    A very Cringe-worthy Show
They ruined the story and made new characters that doesn't match that of the anime version.
I couldn't even finish watching the 1st episode because it's very cringey.
They should've just named it Cringe Note.
So disappointing (shaking my head in disappointment)

Like a fanfiction come to life!
When I first heard that Death Note had been translated into a Drama I thought for sure that this would be a epic fail. But, curiosity overruled the part of my brain that was sure this would be a waste of time and now I am incredibly glad I watched this.

This was like watching a AU fanfic come to life, with how they changed Light Yagami's character and the very large changes to the overall ...
