  • Books and bookstores lovers...WATCH
If you are a fan of comedy, romance, books and bookstores you need to watch this anime. I am SO sad with how it ended and all I can do is hope that there will be a second season even though I doubt it (as is not that new). Anyway, it has lots of great information to fans of manga delivered in a cute and funny way. I dont want to say a lot because it can spoil but...just watch it :)!

  • Peeved at the porn-to-plot ratio, but at least it was funny!
This anime fits perfectly into the slice of life genre. It ranks well, sliding in nicely below Blend S. and Recovery of an MMO Junkie. It’s not quite at that four level, but it does a great job at conveying the carefree, light-hearted and fun realism slice of life is known for bringing, and does a great job of not shimmying into the drama category. Several slice series suffer from this: they seem ...

  • Workplace absurdity and fun
Watched this after discovering and binging the manga. It's a fun workplace comedy with a great cast of characters. The elements of romcom thrown in are also well done, and never really overtake the general workplace theme of the show. My only complaint is that they didn't make more of the show. There's a lot more material in the manga.

    At least we have that.

  • The otaku experience
I loved Denki-Gai because I could relate more than usual to its characters but it still made me laugh. I have never worked in a shop so it also opened my eyes to some of the struggles and joys involved in a career running a manga shop. One of the few anime these days that I liked from episode 1.

  • Fun with rewatchability
Denki-Gai is both fun and funny. A slice of life that doesn't take place at school with plenty of "adult" humor. The best part is its rewatchability. I've watched it several times and still laugh out loud at the humor. The characters are fun and quirky and the gags are over the top but then they will have some sweet/cute scenes for our characters.

  • Great Entertainment For Any and All Ages!
The synopsis for this show doesn't do it any favors, this show is just a pure gag in most cases, it has some ideas of romance and those parts are just heartwarming in most of the cases. Overall this show is the epitome of a sweet and sassy anime with its characters like Hio-chan and Sensei-chan.

Although some parts of this may be considered "adult" not due to the content but due to the words ...

  • Hilarious, problematic, creepy and so thoroughly weird in a rather normal way
I watched the whole series and enjoyed it, and found it quite fun and ridiculous to watch. The series and actions from the characters, though, can be incredibly over the top for a slice of life comedy/drama/romance in simultaneously good and bad ways

One of the best examples of how it can be incredibly over-the-top is episode 5.

Was a definite no for me.
Usually, I try to give an anime (or any tv show) at least 2 or 3 episodes before I decide whether I like it or want to continue on with it.

Couldn't even make it through the first episode. It was just so boring. I found nothing immersive. Just flat.

    Definitely wouldn't recommend.

  • Anime for Manga lovers.
I got caught up with watching Eromanga Sensei and was looking for something similar. Thus I was lead to this cute, slice-of-life anime me. It's the perfect feel good anime to watch with relatable characters obsessed with manga (like we all are) and a lot of funny moments. I only wish it had at least another season.

  • A Breath of Fresh Air
This show was a nice, refreshing change of pace from the typical high school drama slice of life. The retail setting, as well as most of the characters being adult age, made it more relatable to me personally. The characters are likable, the humor usually lands, and it doesn't fall back on typical slice of life tropes very often.
