  • As Feel-Good As Isekei Gets
In Dog Days, our earthly hero gets invited to a world of fantasy whose people are a little bit beastly but otherwise so nice that it's more of a joyous summer camp full of gorgeous friends than anything else. There are no world-threatening bad guys. Little to no threat of death except well off the beaten path. Even war is a national sport with zero fatalities. There's even a touch of romance in ...

  • Real feel good show, 3rd time watching
I watched Season 1 when it was first released and again before Season 2 was released and began another viewing today and the show is still as good to watch. it's fun, sweet and really charming.
Season 2 expands everything really nicely and widens the cast.

  • Made my top 10 anime list
You want a feel good, action packed, fantasy, demi-human anime? You've come to the right place. It's a must watch for anyone. The Characters are extremely likable, the story is very entertaining, the fan service is strong, basically everything about this anime is enjoyable.
Personally, I'm a sucker for demi-humans in anime, and this delivers on that genre.

Show made for kids! Do not watch
    To begin with
I think this anime is very immature and just like every other one where another hero is brought from another world. The battles are dumb and they make the battlegrounds so trivial is not even funny. Would not wish my worst enemy to watch this garbage.

  • This is the cutest Ikesai I have seen. Also, Season 3 Episode 1 pronounces his name as "Shinku"
Everything about this is cuteness overload.

    Season 1:

I like that the hero comes as himself. He's strong, but he's also strong in his original world. However, he's actually pretty balanced compared to the world's residents, which is quite refreshing in one of these series. Every character is lovable, even the blank-faced extras. There's also a good story in here as well. It does look like ...

  • Still One of My Favorite Series
I've always been a sucker for the "person winds up in another world and becomes a hero" kind of stories, so it's no shock this quickly became one of my favorite series after it came out. I can remember eagerly awaiting the nest season to come out, I guess I still am even if it's been a number of years now since the 3rd season ended, then again there was a hiatus of a couple years between earlier ...

  • Unique Plot and Deep Characterization
This is one of the best (probably the best) anime I have ever watched. Each episode makes me happy lifts up my spirits. I ALMOST cried when they rescued the baby fox, if an anime almost made me cry, it is VERY good. All of the characters are very likable, friend or foe, villain or hero (pun intended, you'll get it once you watch the first episode), and are also very well designed, cute and ...

  • Missing storylines to carry characters
I really enjoyed the show's concept as it didnt take itself too seriously at first when it came to war between kingdoms but i liked that it was because they didnt want to forget how to fight since they are all aware of more danger outside of their magic barriers.

I do wish they would of had better plot points in season 2 as season 1 was good. Maybe explore the demons more instead of focusing on ...

    Good for a hot minute
I went into this ready to hate it. The cover, the art style, the teen pandering, all of it screamed "not for me". And then... it was good. Really solid. The protagonist was relatable and likable, and there was little substance but good enough execution to make that a non-issue.

The anime falls apart right around episode 7 when it tries to have a real plot. Up until that point, it's a fun romp, ...
