A kick to the hype groin.
It was once said that GT was the worst iteration of Toriyama's characters ever. Toriyama must have over heard this and said "hold my beer". The animation is rushed and lazy. The power levels have become even more ridiculous. Worst of it, the plague of Goku being the only one that can save the day is still after all this time Front and Center. Such a disappointment.

  • Everything and more!
There's very little in this world I love more than Dragon Ball. I grew up on the original series, then moved on to DBZ, and loved how they raised the stakes. I love the finale that GT offered to the franchise, I love the movies, I love most anything that has to do with these characters, and this world. With that said, I may be a bit bias, but I am having an uber blast with the way this series ...

  • From Ashes to Brilliance
SO! Dragon Ball Super is obviously the continuation of the story from previous dragon ball stories that we are familiar with (if you have watched Dragon Ball in the past). The story obviously takes place on Earth for a good time, revolving our hero Goku yet again on an epic quest to find stronger opponents and learn the ways of combat! Accompanied by his companions and characters we all know and ...

  • Simplicity is bliss, so to speak
This show has a lot of weight on it's shoulders being the successor to one of the biggest anime in history. While the show starts off bumpy, it quickly rebounds with the two most recent arcs and has tons of entertaining action sequences and characters. At the end of the day, Dragonball isn't an anime that's overly complex and relies on it's likeable characters and high-paced action sequences to ...

Doesn't hold a candle to DB or DBZ
The originals series were some of the most iconic in anime history, this is just sub par. Remember when goku went super sayain for the first time, the gohan SS2, and the goku went on to SS3. That was intense and there was so much hype, the originals had me screaming KA-ME-HA-ME-HA!!!! This new series has had so many plot holes, terrible humor, so many reoccurring Frieza's, and the fact that ...

    Not what you expect.
I don't typically review things, so I'll just hit on some main points and keep this short. As someone who watched most of the DB series before Super, I am fairly disappointed by Super. It has honestly been lackluster throughout the entire series so far. I am most acquainted with DBZ and is the baseline for my comparison. Again, I'll just keep this short for the sake of others trying to identify if ...

The Daddy of Shounen anime is back with a bang!
Dragon Ball Super may not be the perfect show, but it still has the true spirit of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.The pacing of the show is really good and there are awesome new characters who expand the lore and the world of Dragon Ball.If you love Dragon Ball and wanted something new which is canon to the series, then look no further!

  • An Amazing Continuation
Dragon Ball Super is a great example of a great anime from back in the day, continued up to today. Character diversity is great, especially in Universe Survival arc, amazing scenes, and even more new transformations. Hope this series lasts almost as long as the old ones, or even longer!

  • DBS 20yrs in the making
The newest Dragon Ball Anime is finally in Crunchyroll! After a long time of not getting any licensing in America for this anime, we can finally see this through Crunchyroll. This is one of the few anime that people must heard about, this is also probably the best anime franchise outside of japan, with people growing up with this anime. Thank you Akira Torikyama for creating this amazing franchise

This doesn't come close to Dragon Ball or DBZ.
I remember loving Dragon Ball when I was a kid and DBZ when I was a little older, but this is just a mess. I pushed through 20 episodes and I just can't do it.

Maybe it's because I am older and my tastes have changed but this doesn't even feel like it comes close to what I remember. It's a mess. Maybe it gets better, but I shouldn't have to set through 20 episodes of rubbish to get to ...
