  • Great for fans of Shounen
If you liked Dragonball Z, there's everything you loved and more here in Super. Less drawn out fights, less filler and less slice of life and more action, which is exactly what I would have wanted. The animation style looks great, and while Goku is obviously still the main character there's less of "Well the fight gets good when Goku shows up." which is also a big plus.

    Region Locked, thanks
not airing in United Kingdom, always nice to experience, love it when you have to pirate shows because you cant watch them on a service which you pay monthly for. Hoping when the dub comes out cruncyroll also gets it and is not exclusive to funimation.

  • Love the show hands down...
I love how they added SSG and all of the new characters so far. Along with the slice of life episodes being absolutely hilarious. If you're debating whether to watch it or not just DO IT because it definitely is worth seeing. If you were a fan of DBZ then you'll for sure be a fan DBS!

  • Do I even need to say?
Uh this series is the sh*t. How is this series still going on? I'll never know but I still get just as blown away as I did watching Dragon Ball Z. Serious props to the creators. Also much more laughs during this season I LOVE IT! Never stop you guys!

  • i love dragon ball <3
the universe tournament needs to hurry, you already know that the tournament will be sick especially with king zeno hosting it. it would be even more sick if the king would train goku and vegeta. then add a new transformation to the fusion.12345678910

Not great, but has potential if written differently.
Dragonball Super has been written to appeal with both the kids and the grown up fans.
The comedy is enjoyable and many throwbacks to old school Dragonball is a delight to see. The little bits of character development are a treat.
However, the writing is too childish at times, throwing the limits of the show right out the window. The shiny animation and the lack of blood are also a turn off. We ...

  • Another great show from my childhood
Dragon ball is one of those shows that I genially look forward to seeing week after week. My only hope is the show doesn't push too much on filler episodes. GT was not the right direction for the dragon ball Saga. And Super is a nice change of pace. I hope the show will start taking on a much more mature approach.

    An imperfect nostalgic trip
I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z, then late Dragon Ball, and a little of GT.
While Super has its flaws I do love the series for its characters. I like seeing how they have changed over time and the new ones are a joy.

The show starts off with a re-hash of the last two dragon ball films, while I prefer the Super versions due to the build up and characterization I will admit they do drag on a ...

  • it's actually pretty good
If you were disappointed by DBGT and yearned for a continuation of the Dragonball universe, this is a pretty decent sequel taking place directly after the events of DBZ. You may see people claim that it is too childish at times, but to be fair, we actually get a style from the old Dragonball days, when we first met Goku in the forest as he meets a girl for the first time (bulma). you can't tell ...
