Another Yokai series? Oh well, this one's harmless fun.
I've come down hard on other series when they've been hollow 'me toos' following fads, but this is one of those anime that at least has the taste to take the best elements of the wave it's riding to bring something you can at least show to other people and not have them get utterly freaked out. It's a 'gateway' anime, something with a story that's not hard to follow, doesn't have anything too ...

7 episodes in and can't wait for next week!
I watched this on a whim since I thought the premise sounded like fun. I'm really glad that I did, as this is a lighthearted and fun watch so far. There are some serious moments as well, mostly centered on character development for the lead, which I really enjoyed. Reminds me of Spirited Away (loosely) in that a person is suddenly exposed to the spirit world and needs to adjust and adapt to their ...

Living with Yokai! A excellent premise, done with good humor. It will be one of the best this season!
This answers the question of "Where do you live when your dorm burns down and you don't have any money?" Why in an apartment with Yokai, where else? This takes a good-natured approach to yokai (ghosts and demons). The Yokai Apartments look like a fun place to live. It doesn't hurt that the good looking girl next door is an exorcist. The animation was excellent and the plot was captivating. The ...

    Slice of LIfe + Yokai
This ended up being pretty much another slice of life anime, with a touch of magic/yokai. It's basically "Friends" in anime form. It was relaxing to watch. It was pretty interesting in the beginning, especially when they were introducing the yokai. Some of their back stories were pretty horrific/sad. As the story progressed, though, it got more and more boring, but still enjoyable and ...

    A show of everyday difficulties
So this show borrows a lot of the plot from other yokai shows, but somehow it manages to sway of the paths of what must now be considered clichée and capture something that not many shows with a yokai element does: slice of life. This show does not have many action scenes, which surprised me. Instead, a whole episode can be focused around interpersonal relationships with difficult people or how ...

    What an awesome life!
I am not one to usually watch anime that do not have some sort of action in them (although i have been trying to branch out), but this one has grabbed my attention and I can't stop watching it. Watching the main character slowly grow to love his new life and even discover some things about himself is truly awesome. Also I have not found a character in this show that i absolutely despise either. ...

    Slice of Ghost Apartment Life
This show had my interest from the start because of the focus on the Yokai, I've always found stories involving yokai to be interesting. I was kind of hoping this show would follow in a similar vein as Natsume series but with a protagonist within a more urban environment and different challenges, but I can't help but feel the direction of this show switched halfway through production.

    Now this ...

    Such promise thrown away
I loved this series for the first dozen episodes. Since then it has become as preachy as the old Baywatch television series of many years ago. Once Yushi acquires the Petit Hirozoikon things start to go downhill with ever increasing speed. Very disappointing. :-(

    Gordon Ramsay: This is RAW!
...RAW, as in some Really-good Anime Work!

Do you like handsome anime boys?
    Are you a ghost hunter?
Do you like anime that makes you feel dumb?

    Well then,

This might be the perfect show for you, because this show has everything above. Seriously, it's crazy how creative these manga/anime writers are. The story is written phenomenally, with details written to the very blackhead on the ...

    Entertaining and Insightful
This show has amazing hidden depth. It starts in a general entertaining way, pleasant and optimist in tone. As it progresses, the young protagonist encounters "difficult people"; his Yokai apartment friend provide keen insight as to the sort of things that trouble others, and how to interact with other people in a positive and emotionally intelligent way. In between the "lessons", there's much ...
