    good show, boring mc
The show's pacing was good, battles were well done and characters are somewhat interesting. my real gripe with the anime is that one of the MCs Inaho Kaizuka was terribly, done. incredibly bland and unnecessarily competent for a school kid, even one that researches things. Princess Asseylum was also quite a strange character that just seemed one dimensional in taking the blame for everyone's ...

    Aldnoah? More like Gundam...
    SO! Big points
    1) It's incredibly pretty to look at.
    2) The plot is good for the first half, sort of drops off after that.
    3) Too many situations where "Deus ex machina" was used.

But overall, I enjoyed it! (the first half especially! The way it ended? Oh it had me reeling!) What I would have liked to see though is the characters developed a bit more, they seemed a little shallow and lacked ...

    Fantastic start, tragic ending.
After watching this entire anime i can only sings praises to its choice of music and quality of character design/development. However i watched Slaine grow to be a character that i respected and i hoped that he would win the final battle and achieve his end goal and he was the true underdog in all this, but it ended up being tragic and i honestly hate how the one guy on the side of Earth *Inaho (i ...

A must see for mecha fans, but not much else.
At the show's basic premise, it's about a war between Super Robots and Real Robots. There are also deconstructions of existing mecha tropes like a space monarchy, and cause of war itself. The latter half of the show pits the notion of a

Thematically this show is solid. The animation is beautiful. The music has many memorable soundtracks. Your mileage will vary of the mecha deigns and the ...

    Aldnoah Zero? Good? Bad?
I think this A/Z has a lot of potential. When I started watching I was like "Hey, this show is pretty good!" When I did a little research in the show I was surprised that the "Uro-butcher" (Gen Urobuchi) had involvement in the show which was a bonus for me because I love his work. So the show has some good moments thanks to Gen who happens to make shake things up. One thing that the writers could ...

    Shingeki no Kyojin meets Gundam
Beautifully done series, strong female roles (they aren't just eye candy, and their outfits are functional), complex characters and absolutely gorgeous music (well done Sawano). The series has the "humanity fights a huge powerful enemy" feel of SnK with the politics and mecha of the Gundam series.

    Inaharo Skynet out of 10
Aldnoah.Zero's plot looks as well developed as Inaharo's feelings. But that doesn't stop it from being a kick ass mech anime. Watched it after Knights of Sidonia and I couldn't help but noticing how both series involve military school underaged kids doing shit that ghosts-of-the-past haunted adults couldn't even dream to. Looking forward for the next 8 episodes.

    A1's attempt to surpass Gundam
Colonies in space, different between earth human and those who lived in space. Space humans have better technologies than the terrans and a war through hate on the other "humans" ensues....Where have we heard of something very similar? Those who have seen a fair number of animes would know...Gundam. Though I very much like to talk about gundam, I will focus on Aldnoah Zero.

    Aldnoah Zero have ...

Amazing Anime. Definitely not for a younger audience.
This is an incredible anime. Very short. But so worth it. The story is fast paced, and rather dark. There's a fair amount of work put into showing just how horrible war really is. The ending will absolutely stun you, not necessarily due to surprise, but with how dark it really is. Well worth watching, and easily the best Mecha anime in a while. Another suggestion would be Gargantia on the ...

    At least it is pretty.
This is the anime that shows just because Gen Urobuchi is attached to your project, and Kalafina is singing the OP, it doesn't mean it is going to be good. The main characters are forgiveable at the beginning, even the guy who may as well be Shiba Tatsuya's long lost non-magical step sibling for all the emotional depth he can muster.

It is at the middle of its run that what promised to ...
