"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" to Reach Land on October 29

Pirate-themed entry due out for current and next-gen consoles

Expect plenty of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag information this week, but for now there are a couple key things we already know. The pirate-themed sequel is set to arrive on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on October 29, and will also be heading to next-gen consoles.

So far Assassin's Creed IV has been confirmed for PlayStation 4. We'll have to see what Microsoft has in store for their next system, but we'll be swashbuckling there, too. For now, get an early look at the next entry in the series with the announcement trailer below. It made its debut earlier than planned, so hopefully the video stays up.

It looks like our lead assassin this time around is Captain Edward Kenway, a pirate trained by assassins. This video's status may also be limited, so learn a bit more about him below while you still can.
