Aso Business Computer College Hosts 3DCG Animation Seminar

CG-Arts Society sponsored event features lectures by Shinji Aramaki and Junpei Mizusaki

On April 25, 2015, the Aso Business Computer College, a technical / vocational college located in Fukuoka, is hosting a free seminar sponsored by the CG-Arts Society which examines the growing role of 3DCG animation in commercial and artistic expression.

The first speaker is Shinji Aramaki, the director of such films as Appleseed: Alpha, Starship Troopers: Invasion, and the 2013 Space Pirate Captain Harlock movie. His talk will focus on elements of production and pre-production.

The next speaker is Junpei Mizusaki, perhaps best known in the West for his work on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure opening animations. His talk will focus on pushing the boundaries of artistic expression using 3DCG techniques.

The seminar concludes with a discussion of the new editions of the college textbooks Introduction to CG Design, Digital Video Representation, Computer Graphics, and Digital Image Processing.

The seminar begins at 3PM JST at the Aso Business Computer College new building in Fukuoka. Admission to the seminar is free, but registration is required in advance, as there are only 200 seats available.
