eBook Japan Expands into Indonesia with "MangaMon" Comic Service

Browser and app-based subscription manga service launched on November 01, 2015

The eBook Japan Initiative, in cooperation with Elex Media Komputindo and m&c!, has launched a new digital distribution platform for Indonesia called MangaMon.

The web browser and smart phone app-based service provides a new venue for residents of Indonesia to download officially licensed and translated manga. MangaMon also provides news on trends in Japanese pop culture & entertainment as well as promoting local events that would be of interest to Indonesian otaku, such as cosplay and illustration contests.

The MangaMon service launched with 179 books from 25 Japanese manga titles, with plans to expand the line-up in the future. You can check out the official MangaMon home page here.
