Advance tickets to the 3-day exhibition come with bonus gifts such as colored illustrations
The When They Cry TV anime, a 2006 mystery / horror adaptation based on the popular Higurashi When They Cry sound novel series, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special event art exhibition that runs for 3 days only in Tokyo. The event will be staged in the 634 event space on the 5th floor of the Tokyo Solamachi facility from June 10 - 12, 2016.
Although the exact contents of the exhibition have not been announced yet, it is expected to contain production materials and original artwork relating to When They Cry. Limited edition character goods will also be available on site.
Advanced tickets to the event go on sale on March 26, 2016, and range in price from 2000 yen ($17.57 US) for general admission to 8000 yen ($70.29 US) for the "Super Oyashiro Time" special night time event. General admission comes with 2 randomly determined color mini-illustrations (from a total of 6), while the "Super Oyashiro Time" tickets come with the entire set of 6 mini-illustrations, an as-yet-unannounced pack-in item, and a special "night edition" illustration.
The story of When They Cry follows a series of mysterious deaths and disappearances in the tiny town of Hinamizawa. When They Cry is released on North American home video by Sentai Filmworks.
