Gonzo's adaptation premieres in January
Part of anime studio Gonzo's upcoming 25th anniversary celebration is an anime adaptation of Acquire's Akiba's Trip games, which is set to make its broadcast debut in January. The official website updated with more details for the series, including info on the principal cast. Voice actors announced thus far include:
CHARACTER - ACTOR
Tamotsu Denkigai - Haruki Ishiya (Shūichi in Sound! Euphonium)
Matome Manseika - Rie Takahashi (Emilia in Re:ZERO)
Niwaka Denkigai - Marika Kōno (Hanabi in Scorching Ping Pong Girls)
Arisa Ahokainen - Yuki Nagaku (Mimite in Sailor Moon Crystal)
The story description outlines the limitless possibilities to be found in Akihabara, where—beyond all the anime, idols, and games—battles are fought against 'Bagurimono' and a "boy meets girl" story begins.
As previously reported, Hiroshi Ikehata (Seiyu's Life!) is directing the series, with Kazuho Hyodo (Wanna Be the Strongest in the World) on series composition and Hajime Mitsuda (openings for Witch Craft Works, Wixoss) handling character designs.
