"Yotsuba&!" Makes A Small, But Adorable Anime Appearance

What happened this week is that fans got hip to Nyanbo, the NHK-E shorts featuring kitty versions of Yotsuba&!'s cardboard "robot"

Back when Kiyohiko Azuma maintained a blog (he seems to have put the kibosh on that a couple years ago - he's not hugely active online in general), the manga author cast serious doubt on the chances on beloved manga Yotsuba&! getting an anime adaptation, saying that the pacing of the humor wouldn't cross media too easily. This hasn't stopped fans from keeping their hopes up. 

 

What happened this week is that fans got hip to Nyanbo, the NHK-E shorts featuring kitty versions of Yotsuba&!'s cardboard "robot," and specifically its ending which has a brief, darling cameo by a certain clover-leaf haired orphan.
