Takara Tommy to Open "Beyblade Bar" for Adults in January 2017

The franchise's newest series "Beyblade Burst" has sold 5 million units

Japanese toy company Takara Tommy announced on Tuesday that a time-limited bar for adults, "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade Bar," will open in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in January 2017, as the 15th anniversary for the Beyblade anime series started in 2001. The bar is targeted to the Beyblade players in their early-mid twenties.  


The Beyblade toy franchise based on Japan's traditional spinning top called "Beegoma" was launched in July 1999, and its first generation players who were elementary school students at the time have already grown to their twenties by now. In addition to the official tournaments open to all ages started this April, the "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade Bar" will offer a place for communication and interaction for the grown-up players, where they can play the Beyblade battles while enjoy drinking.  


More details will be revealed on the official website for the franchise's newest series "Beyblade Burst" in

the middle of December.
