TV anime based on 4-panel comic by Mitsuki hits AT-X and Tokyo MX on April 07, 2016
The official home page for Hinako Note, an upcoming TV anime based on the humorous 4-panel manga by Mitsuki about a girl who tries to solve her social anxiety by joining the theater club at her new school with disastrous results, has updated with a new key visual (below) for the series.
The story of Hinako Note follows the titular Hinako, a girl who is not very good at talking to other people. However, Hinako is so good at communicating with animals that the people of her hometown use her as a scarecrow. In high school, Hinako moves to the big city and decides to join the drama club to deal with her communication issues.
Unfortunately, the drama club has shut down, so Hinako finds herself in a strange setting surrounded by odd people: her boarding house is a used book store, and her new best friend is a beautiful girl who eats books!
The original Hinako Note 4-panel manga is serialized in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Cune seinen manga magazine. The Hinako Note TV anime is directed by Takeo Takahashi and Toru Kitahata and features animation by Passione. Hinako Note begins its Japanese broadcast on AT-X and Tokyo MX on April 07, 2017, with later broadcasts to follow on TV Aichi, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, and BS11.
