Soon-to-be anime stars feature in an anniversary stamp rally for the mixed media project.
The cute guys of Sanrio Boys may still be awaiting their anime debut, but they're preparing to take over Ikebukuro for the mixed media project's second anniversary. Participants can expect a variety of goodies and prizes featuring the five Sanrio-loving ikemen.
First launched in November of 2015, Sanrio Boys combined the ostensibly disparate themes of Sanrio mascots and cute high school boys. The five leads -- Shunsuke, Yuu, Kouta, Ryou, and Seiichirou -- all have different hobbies, but share a love of the adorable characters.
To celebrate two years as a project, Sanrio Boys will be holding a stamp rally around Ikebukuro. Visitors to Animate, Village Vanguard, Tokyu Hands, and the area's two Sanrio shops can pick up free stamp cards and take selfies with life-sizes standees of the characters. Fill your card, and you'll get a special ticket giving you access to voice recordings by the boys' voice actors.
Additionally, different shops in the area will be offering Sanrio Boys products.
Stainless Steel Thermos:
Select stores will also be handing out bromides for every 500 yen spent on these items. Jump around to all participating stores to collect all five!
The campaign and stamp rally runs from November 3-20.
