Citing creative differences over the script, original visual novel voice actress is replaced by Hibiku Yamamura for adaptation
It appears that the production of ISLAND, a TV anime based on the visual novel developed by Front Wing and published by Prototype about a young man who is shipwrecked among an isolated island community, has hit a bit of snag, because original visual novel voice actress Rie Murakawa has left the production.
Murakawa was set to reprise her role as Sara Garandou, but according to the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society (the talent agency that represents Rie Murakawa), the actress has left ISLAND as a result of creative differences over the script. Voice actress Hibiku Yamamura has been cast as Murakawa's replacement.
The story of ISLAND is set on Urashima, an island that has been cut off from the main land by the actions of its three ruling families and by a mysterious contagion. One day, a young man named Setsuna washes ashore. Setsuna has no memories except for his own name and his mission: he's been sent from the future to save Urashima. With the help of the daughters of the three ruling families, Setsuna seeks to unravel the mysteries of Urashima.
The ISLAND TV anime features animation by studio feel. and is scheduled to broadcast in 2018.
