Adaptation based on psychological horror manga by Tomiyaki Kagisora heads to MBS and other stations in July of 2018
Happy Sugar Life, an upcoming TV anime based on the psychological horror manga by Tomiyaki Kagisora about a disturbed young lady who is willing to kill in the name of love, has published the character settings (featuring the anime character designs by Shōko Yasuda) for its three main characters, including:
Sato Matsuzaka (voiced by Kana Hanazawa).
Shiori Kobe (voiced by Misaki Kuno).
And Asahi Kobe (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori).
The original Happy Sugar Life manga is serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker shonen manga magazine. The story follows Sato Matsuzaka, a high school girl who experiences a wonderfully sweet feeling whenever she's around Shiori, the girl that she loves. Sato is willing to do anything to protect that special feeling, including committing crimes such as kidnapping and murder.
The Happy Sugar Life TV anime is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and Nobuyoshi Nagayama and features animation production by Ezo’la. The series will broadcast on MBS (Mainichi Broadcasting System) and other stations beginning in July of 2018.
