"Asagao to Kase-san" OAV Publishes Flowery New Visual

Lovers share a tender moment in promo image for upcoming anime adaptation of yuri manga by Hiromi Takashima

A new key visual has been published for the upcoming Asagao to Kase-san OAV, an original animation video adaptation based on the yuri romance manga by Hiromi Takashima about a shy girl who loves gardening and a boisterous girl who loves sports falling in love. The new visual is illustrated by OAV character designer Kyūta Sakai and features main characters Tomoka Kase and Yui Yamada sharing a tender moment with flowers in their hair.

The Asagao to Kase-san manga was originally serialized in Shinshokan's Hirari manga magazine before moving to the Flash Wings web publication. An English language version of the manga is published by Seven Seas Entertainment under the title Kase-san and..., and they describe the story as follows:

"Yamada may be shy and rather clumsy, but the flower gardens at her school have always brought her happiness. Suddenly, a different sort of beauty catches her eye—the vivacious track star, Kase-san. Although the two girls don’t seem to have much in common, they soon start a romance where each must learn an important lesson in tending their budding relationship. Can the two girls, so different from each other, learn how to make their first love blossom?"

The Asagao to Kase-san OAV is directed by Takuya Sato and features animation by ZEXCS. It will receive a limited theatrical release in Japan at venues such as the Shinjuku Wald 9 and Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas beginning on June 09, 2018.
