Adaptation of psychological horror manga by Tomiyaki Kagisora hits MBS and other stations beginning in July of 2018
More information has been revealed about the ending theme for Happy Sugar Life, an upcoming TV anime based on the psychological horror manga by Tomiyaki Kagisora about a young woman who is willing to kill to protect the one that she loves.
The ending theme, entitled "SWEET HURT", is performed by ReoNa (pictured above). The song will be released in Japan as ReoNa's debut single on August 29, 2018.
The original Happy Sugar Life manga is serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker shonen manga magazine. The story follows Sato Matsuzaka, a high school girl who experiences a wonderfully sweet feeling whenever she's around Shiori, the girl that she loves. Sato is willing to do anything to protect that special feeling, including committing crimes such as blackmail, kidnapping, and murder.
The Happy Sugar Life TV anime is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and Nobuyoshi Nagayama and features animation production by Ezo’la. The series will broadcast on MBS (Mainichi Broadcasting System) and other stations beginning in July of 2018.
