Veteran voice actors Yui Ogura and Tomokazu Sugita are braving the wild and woolly wilderness of Gunma Prefecture as the latest additions to the cast of You Don't Know Gunma Yet, an ongoing short form TV anime based on the culture shock comedy by Hiroto Ida about a boy who bites off more than he can chew when he moves from Chiba to the untamed and unknown land that is Gunma.
Yui Ogura provides the voice for Teruna Ieki, aka "Yeti", a JKJ member and the best friend of Kyou Shinooka. Tomokazu Sugita provides the voice for Yajiro-senpai, a young man who graduated from high school 2 years ago and who takes a special interest in Kamitsuki.
You Don't Know Gunma Yet is directed by Mankyu and features animation by Asahi Production. The series is currently broadcasting on Japanese TV and is also available via streaming on Crunchyroll, who describe the story as follows:
Kamitsuki ends up having to move from Chiba Prefecture to Gunma Prefecture. He decides to do a little bit of research about Gunma on his way over, and everything he finds out is terrifying! For example, “The world’s only remaining unexplored area,” and “Make sure you take all your best equipment.” What kind of place is Gunma? What kinds of things are going to happen to him while he’s there? The Gunma-born author brings you the real truth about Gunma in this series.
