Latest low-key adventures of Renge and company hit theaters in Japan on August 25, 2018
A new trailer is now available for Non Non Biyori Vacation, an upcoming theatrical anime film based on the everyday comedy manga by Atto about a group of kids who enjoy pleasant (and sometimes prosaic) lives in a small town in the Japanese countryside. The trailer highlights the theme song "Ao no Rakugaki" ("Blue Graffiti") by nano.RIPE, and also shows how Natsumi and her sister Komari win a trip to Okinawa in a department store raffle.
The original Non Non Biyori manga is serialized in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Seven Seas Entertainment. Crunchyroll currently streams Non Non Biyori and Non Non Biyori Repeat, and describes the story of the series as follows:
The closest book store sells Jump every Wednesday, the video rental shop is ten stations down. Vegetables are left out for sale, and no one’s ever even see a lock on a house. That’s the country life they live, but these five girls at Asahigaoka Branch School are enjoying it! Enjoy the leisurely, laid-back life of these unique girls!
Non Non Biyori Vacation is directed by Shinya Kawatsura and features a script by Reiko Yoshida, character designs by Mai Ōtsuka, and animation by SILVER LINK.. The film hits theaters in Japan on August 25, 2018.
