Meet The Japanese and Chinese Virtual Idols Again in Heart x Algorhythm 2nd Season PV

Highly anticipated 17-episode second season is set to premiere on October 8

The official YouTube channel for the Japanese-Chinese co-production project Live Animation Heart x Algorhythm has started streaming a 80-second PV for its upcoming second season, and it is also confirmed that the new season will be aired for 17 episodes from October 8, 2018, to February 2019.

The anime has joined the ongoing Tokyo Game Show 2018.

The web anime series features 3DCG characters created with Sega Interactive's real time CG animation

system "DL-EDGE," and its first season was streamed for eight episodes from August to October 2017.

Its story focuses on two virtual idols, native Japanese speaker Kilin (CV: Minori Suzuki) and Chinese speaker

Xi (CV: Emiri Iwai/Singing Voice: Xiao Wu), who are created by a mysterious producer Bunny P (Seira Ryu).

Their mission is to be a linking bridge between Japan and China.

In the first season, Kilin and Xi were designed by KEI, best known as the original package illustrator of

Hatsune Miku. Instead of him, NOB-C (Urawa no Usagi-chan, Henkei Girls) serves as the new character

designer for the second season. Key visuals featuring the two main girls designed by NOB-C are revealed

as below.
