My Hero Academia: Two Heroes Performs Well in North American Debut

Box office numbers nearly hit $2 million during limited release thus far

At the time of this writing, it appears as if Funimation's theatrical release of the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes anime film is doing pretty well for itself. According to a press release issued earlier today, the movie "outpac[ed] any other top 10 film in per screen revenue totals by almost $1,200 for the first day and by over $1,400 on the second day" out of its five-day run.

As a result, it's on pace to hit over $2 million (and should actually be there by now). Screenings tonight and on September 29 feature the movie's English dub, and the next subtitled showing is scheduled for October 2. Select locations are also adding showtimes on Friday, September 28 and Sunday, September 30, so check your local listings to see if it's playing again.
