Fuji Aoi Becomes First VTuber to Collaborate with Pacific League Baseball

Official TV broadcast will feature character as live commentator

Check off one more thing VTubers can do: one of them is prepping to do live baseball commentary!

Virtual YouTube personality Fuji Aoi has made a deal with Pacific League TV to be part of their live coverage of the upcoming 2018 Climax Series. This marks the first time a VTuber has performed such a job.

Fuji Aoi rose to greater fan attention after starting a crowdfunding campaign to improve her 3D model, with her recent art style being the result. Aoi posts a variety of content, including Let's Plays, but has risen to attention for her songs and covers. Her first album, Hajimari no Oto, is due out from Universal Music in the coming weeks.

Aoi will appear as a commentator for tomorrow night's Lions vs. Hawks game on the Pacific League's on-demand channel. There's no word yet as to how long the collaboration will last.
